Shopify deliberately publishes your catalogue through machine-readable feeds so that Google, Bing, shopping channels, and AI crawlers can index your products. These endpoints are public by design and completely separate from the page a customer sees:
/products.json— every product, description, price, and image URL, as raw data./collections/all/products.json— the same, browsable by collection./sitemap.xml— a map of every product, page, and image on your store.
A "content protection" app runs a script on the storefront page: it cancels right-click, blocks copy, fights the developer tools. None of that touches these feeds. The data is served straight from Shopify's API, the app's script never runs, and the images come from a public CDN. That is why the check above works no matter what you have installed.
